How to Play

Drag cards onto the timeline in chronological order. Three lives. Don't die. Ready? Start playing now.

The rules

Click Start Game. You get 3 lives and see your first event card.
Each card shows an event without the year. Place it where you think it goes on the timeline.
Get it right? The card stays and shows its year. Next card appears.
Get it wrong? You lose a life. The card still goes to its correct spot so you can see where it should have been.
Game ends when you lose all 3 lives.

Tips

Look at what's already on the timeline. If there's "First airplane flight" and "Moon landing", and you get "Television invented", it's probably between them.

Ancient stuff is trickier than you think. The pyramids are way older than most people guess.

Modern events trip people up too. Was Instagram or Snapchat first? (Instagram, 2010 vs 2011)

On mobile

You can drag cards or tap the + button for a placement picker. The picker shows exactly where your card will go between existing events. Handy when the timeline gets long.

Scoring

Your score is the number of cards correctly placed. There's also a streak counter shown during play. Your best score saves locally. Try to beat it.
